In this guide I&#8217;m going to explain step by step how to change a logo in Magento 2.3 and will try to cover all possible problems which you probably will not expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. The first thing what we have to do is to go to admin panel and login to Magento admin side. Usually Magento admin is hidden under \/admin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>https:&#47;&#47;www.example.com\/<span class=\"highlight\">admin<\/span><\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Then, in Magento menu, navigate to:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"magento-path\"><span>Content &gt; Design &gt; Configuration<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>3. On the active theme click &#8220;<strong>Edit<\/strong>&#8221; link. Then click on the &#8220;<strong>Header<\/strong>&#8221; tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And here is the <strong>THING<\/strong>. You might see different views according to your Magento version. Magento 2.3.0 has a bug. It just won&#8217;t work. More information about this bug and how to fix in troubleshooting paragraph. Then click on &#8220;<strong>Upload<\/strong>&#8221; button and choose your new logo. By default the maximum weight of logo is 2MB and it lets you upload JPG, GIF, PNG image formats. If it uploads successful you should see the following view<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"705\" height=\"404\" src=\"https:\/\/www.magetrend.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/magento-2-change-logo-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-52\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.magetrend.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/magento-2-change-logo-3.jpg 705w, https:\/\/www.magetrend.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/magento-2-change-logo-3-300x172.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 705px) 100vw, 705px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Now you can click &#8220;<strong>Save Configuration<\/strong>&#8221; button and enjoy your new logo!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional, at the same time, you can set your logo width, height, logo alt text and store welcome message. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logo upload not working<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Bug in Magento 2.3.0<\/strong> &#8211; as I mentioned in step by step guide, this magento 2 release has a small bug. It doesn&#8217;t shows any visible error messages, the uploader just isn&#8217;t working. Here is the fix provided by Magento on their GitHub: <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/magento\/magento2\/commit\/ba69bfec127bed8c39c7d9e7b73d10b54449b158\">Fixes theme header logo and icon upload<\/a><\/li><li><strong>Unable to create directory<\/strong> &#8211; the error means that the directory MAGENTO_DIR\/pub\/media has not enough permission and Magento can&#8217;t create directory and upload a file. To fix the problem need to grant Magento with these access.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logo was uploaded but was&#8217;t changed in fronted<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Cache problem<\/strong> &#8211; The first thing which should be checked, if we are talking about the problem like this, is Magento Cache. To clear Magento cache:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"magento-path\"><span>Magento Admin &gt; System &gt; Cache Management &gt; Select All &gt; Refresh &gt; Submit<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Theme problem<\/strong> &#8211; It might be that theme developer has missed to implement Magento functionality and made hardcoded solution. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s all this time.
